Welcome to my blog! I am so glad you stopped in. I'm excited to show you my most recent work.
Feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a message to book your next session or wedding!
This isn’t my typical blog post. I honestly took forever to write this and post it because this is more personal than I usually get on my photography blog, but I just know I need to share this. I know there is someone who needs some encouragement and some hope right now!
I met Marc and Megan about 3 years ago when I photographed their family of three. At that session, I thought they were the “normal” little family. I thought they had their first baby without a hitch. However, Marc and Megan tried for over a year to have a healthy baby. After one heartbreaking miscarriage and a trip to a fertility specialist for testing, they got pregnant with Emery. She is such a sweet little girl and so very healthy and happy! Marc and Megan were thrilled to have a child of their own, but wanted to grow their family. Megan got pregnant right away, but unfortunately miscarried at 10 weeks. They continued to have 2 more miscarriages. I've never been through that heartache and cannot even imagine what it must feel like! They went through a battery of testing and never had an answer for why they miscarried so many babies. After the last miscarriage, they tried for 7 months before they were blessed with another healthy, sticky baby! Little Eli is so precious and so very loved! We may never know why Marc and Megan had to go through such heartbreak to grow their family, but I do know that God was with them every step of the way! He has a plan and he knows how to use it for good! His word says that he will bring us through the storms or deep waters (Isaiah 43:2) and that He definitely did! He created these two sweet rainbow babies for Marc and Megan and He has a perfect plan in store for their lives!
Right after moving to Kansas, I decided to quit doing newborn sessions in Colorado. They take a lot of props and preparation, and it was just too much to travel and do that type of session. However, when Megan contacted me about doing newborn photos for them when they had their second baby in April of this year, I felt something in me that said I needed to do it. I love how the Holy Spirit puts little nudges there for us, and what an amazing thing it is when we listen to that still small voice. You see, when I first met Marc and Megan, I had no clue about their struggle. I had no clue about the struggle my husband and I were about to embark on at that time either. Colton and I had just made the decision to start a family in April of that year that I photographed Marc and Megan for the first time. I was so excited and hoped that we’d be that couple that got pregnant in the first month of trying. But here we are three years later and the only baby we have so far is our sweet furbaby. I am not writing this for sympathy so please don’t feel sorry for us. I am writing this in hopes that if there is anyone else struggling to get pregnant or suffering from miscarriages, that they will see Marc and Megan’s story and be encouraged!
After three years of trying to start a family, I have learned a lot, but one main thing I’ve learned is that people sharing their stories, and seeing those same people with babies now is what helps the most. God works in such amazing ways! If I would not have listened to the Holy Spirit’s voice that evening as I was messaging Megan back, I would not have had a clue about their story and I would’ve missed out on all the hope and encouragement from hearing it and seeing them! Through three years of infertility, I have gone through several phases. I’ve been sad, bitter, mad and hopeless. But I have also been so joyful and completely at peace. I have learned so much about myself, God and my husband that I would have missed if I/we had gotten pregnant on the first try. I have lost friends and gained new ones. Most of all, I know that God has a plan and His timing is absolutely perfect. God brought Marc and Megan through the dark days and into parenthood, so I have no doubt that He will do the same for Colton and I and for any other couple who is waiting right now! He loves us and He knows what is best for us.
Thank you, Marc and Megan, for sharing your story and for being such encouragement! Also, thank you for asking me to photograph your adorable family!! Can’t wait to meet all your babies in Heaven too one day!
I will be sharing more about Colton and I's journey in the future. For the time being, we would love prayers and hearing similar stories to the one I just told, but please keep the advice to a minimum. We have had some testing and made some changes to our diets, but are currently focusing more on enjoying where God has us for the time being. We know that God has put us in this season of waiting for a reason so we are being patient, trusting Him and being content with our already so full and blessed lives.
If you or anyone you know is dealing with pregnancy loss or infertility, I am an open book! I want to encourage and be there for anyone who needs someone to talk to! I would also love to pray for you! Email or message me on Facebook!
There is just something about October weddings that I can't get over. I LOVE weddings in October! The colors & the weather are usually always perfect! CJ and Nicole's special day was no exception! The day started with the girls all getting ready at the CUTEST little salon in Wakeeney (Vintage Soul) & the guys hung out at CJ's house! When I saw the flowers and all the details I fell even more in love with the beauty of the day! My favorite little detail was Nicole's bracelet & ring she wore! The bracelet had "Love Always, Grandma" written in her grandmother's handwriting and the ring was also her grandma's! Such a cute idea! The marsala & blush colors Nicole chose could not have been more perfect for this wedding! We did a quick first look with CJ & Nicole and then went right into bride & groom portraits as well as bridal party photos in the prettiest little valley that we found! It was filled with yellow trees & pretty light! I could have kept shooting there all day! It was then time for the ceremony! Nicole was worried that the new stained glass windows wouldn't be in the church in time for their wedding, but they just arrived and were installed that week! The church was gorgeous & every detail of the ceremony was just as beautiful! We had a little time after the ceremony for some more photos & a fun bus ride! Then off to the reception we went! The food was delicious & the dancing was entertaining! The sweetest thing happened at the reception that had us all in tears though! CJ asked his second momma, Connie, to do the mother/son dance with him! CJ lost his mom when he was twelve & I'm sure this was a difficult day to not have his mom there! He and Connie danced to "You Should Be Here" by Cole Swindell and I'm pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in the room during that dance! After that sweet moment, the dances really got going & the party lasted long into the night! There were so many cute little kids spinning on the dance floor & a little fighting between the single ladies for the bouquet that was tossed. That was pretty entertaining! All in all, it was the perfect day!
CJ & Nicole, thank you for asking me to capture such a special day in your lives! Thank you for trusting me & putting up with my ideas! I loved spending your day with you & hope you have fun on your honeymoon when you get to go!!

This wedding was absolutely perfect! I love all weddings, each for their unique reasons, but for some reason I can't pick just one particular reason why this wedding was amazing! First of all, we had AMAZING weather the entire day! Secondly, the colors & locations we picked for photos were stunning! And most importantly, the bride & groom were just so easy to photograph! Curtis & Jori are so sweet & were completely laid back the entire day! One of the biggest compliments you can give a wedding photographer is to fully trust them, and I am so honored that Curtis & Jori completely 110% trusted me! This allowed me to be creative and do my job to the best of my ability without worry!
There were several neat little details of the day that I just LOVED! Curtis is a volunteer firefighter so we took several photos at the fire station (which I had never done before...very fun!), the wedding party shot confetti canons at the first kiss (absolutely beautiful!), AND the DJ did a generation dance to see who out of the wedding guests had been married the longest & the winner was Curtis's grandma & grandpa with a marriage of 64 years (yes, you read that right....SIXTY-FOUR YEARS!! WOW!!)
Elizabeth at Elizabeth Jane Photography second shot this wedding with me and did a fabulous job! This was the first time I got to shoot with her & I had so much fun! She photographed my husband & I's wedding, and I loved every single photo so I knew without a doubt that she would be awesome to help me shoot Curtis & Jori's day!
Thank you, Curtis & Jori, for allowing Elizabeth & I in on your day!! We loved every minute of it and wish you the very best in your future!! Hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in St. Lucia (I'm jealous!) and I am glad you are back safely & didn't have too much trouble with hurricane Matthew!

When I first met with Cesar & Kenia to discuss their wedding, I was so excited! They were both so easy going & up for anything! They explained that their wedding and reception would all be in one location! At first, I was a little nervous because I wasn't sure how I was going to add variety to their images, but as planning continued I was relieved that everything was in one place. The schedule, since there was no travel time between events, allowed for a ton of portrait time! We did go down the street a little ways for some green in the background, but it wasn't far at all! I loved the colors Cesar & Kenia picked! Everything about the day was beautiful and fun to photograph! I have to say that my FAVORITE part of the day was the couple's evening light portrait time! The light was amazingly glowy (if that's a word?!) and this couple rocked every pose! They did so great and it was a blast to photograph them! KelliJo Brown at KJ's Sure Shots second shot this wedding with me, and as always, did a great job! And, once again, Patti Wilkens with Wilkens Catering & Events blew us away with the gorgeous decor & flowers and yummy food! If you are planning a wedding in or near Liberal, Kansas give Patti a call! She doesn't disappoint!
Thank you, Cesar & Kenia, for trusting me and Kelli to capture your day! We loved spending the day with you and absolutely can't wait to show you your entire gallery!

Wade & Leah are such a photogenic & fun couple! Their wedding was simple, yet absolutely gorgeous! They decided not to see each other before the ceremony so it made the ceremony extra sweet! I was a little nervous about the weather, but this couple and the entire wedding party were troopers! They withstood the heat and nasty mosquitoes to capture some great shots! Wade and Leah are definitely smitten over one another and I have no doubt that these two will withstand any trial they face together! Their love and compassion for each other and other people shines tremendously, and I wish them the very best in their life together! Thank you, Wade & Leah, for letting me and Kelli be a part of your day! We had a great time photographing you and your friends & families!
